MARTIAL ARTS:
Martial Art Classes are available through Madison Academy located at 32 Wall Street, Madison, CT. Classes will meet twice a week for eight weeks. Various days and times are available. Classes available are Taekwondo (ages 3 to adult) Choose 2 times/days from the following: Mon/Wed/Fri: 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. or 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. or Tues./Thurs: 5:30 – 6:30 pm or Sat. at 10 am. Cardio-Kickboxing (ages 10 to adult) Choose 2 times from any of the following: Sat./Sun: 8 – 9 am, Mon./Wed./Fri.: 9:15 – 10:15 am, Mon./Wed.: 5:30 – 6:30, Tues./Thurs.: 6 – 7 am. Uniforms are required for all Taekwondo classes and can be purchased at Madison Academy. The fee is $50 per session through Dec. Beginning January 1st 2012, Fee is $65 per session.  Session 6: Nov. 7, 2011 to Dec. 30, 2011. Session 1: Jan. 2, 2012 to Feb. 24, 2012

YOUNG CHEFS OF CLINTON: Grades 4 & 5 (Clinton Residents only)
Tuesday, November 15, 2011, Time: 4:00 – 5:30 p.m., P & R Building Young Chefs will start class by making pita pizzas and then create delicious, edible Turkey Cookie Treats. Fee is $28.00. Young Chefs of Clinton is a unique is a unique culinary experience which will offer cooking classes to children in a safe environment that will encourage discovery and creativity. Each visit to Young Chiefs of Clinton is a new experience with fresh monthly themes and exciting new programs. Students sharpen their skills employing the mantra, “Mise en Place” which, in the cooking world, translates into “Everything in its place.” Young Chefs of Clinton will learn the basics in kitchen safety, proper food handling, food preparation, cooking techniques, presentation and so much more! We will be offering a six more classes after the first of the year. Mark your calendar; Jan. 12th, Feb. 2nd, Mar. 8th, Apr. 5th, May 9th, and June 7th.

ZUMBA FITNESS FOR TEENS:
Grades 9-12, Boys & Girls, Saturday Mornings, Time: 9 am – 10:30 am. Saturdays: Jan. 28, 2012 – March 17, 2012 (8 weeks). Lessons will be held at the P & R Building. Come join the Party! Get in shape doing something fun. Get a special rate if you join with a family member or friend…so bring your mother, bring your brother, or bring a friend for double the fun! We will even bring breakfast for all to share afterward! Join us for (8) Saturdays at Clinton Park and Recreation. NO prior dance experience necessary. CONNECTICUT COMPUTER EDUCATION: KNEX of SIMPLE MACHINES:
What’s the difference between first and second class levers? In this class we focus on Levers and Pulleys. Choose a wheelbarrow, sailboat, or a balance beam or design your own. Grades: K – 5. Wednesdays: November 2 – December 7, 2011 (excluding 11/9 & 11/23), Time: 4 – 5:15 pm Location: P & R Building, Fee: $85.00 (Non-Residents $90.00) Minimum of 4 Children & a Maximum of 12 Children All registrations are through our Office.

ZUMBA LESSONS:
Come ditch the workout and join the party! No dance experience necessary, just the will to move those hips to some fun Latino and International music. Feel the beat and enjoy the awesome workout. Bring plenty of water. Zumba is exercise in disguise! It’s fun! It’s different! It’s easy! It’s effective! Classes will be held at the P & R Building beginning in October: Monday Evenings: 11/7 – 12/19 (no class 12/5), Time: 6:30 -7:30 pm Fee: One 6 week session for $48.00. Instructor is Nansi Rice.

YOUTH BASKETBALL:
For boys and girls grades 4 through 8. Games will be held on Saturdays at the Morgan School gyms. Practices are one night per week. The fee is $45 ($90 per family), which includes a T-shirt. A $10 late fee will be added if registration is received after November 4, 2011.

INSTRUCTIONAL YOUTH BASKETBALL:
For boys and girls in Grades 2 & 3. Children will learn offense and defense skills, practice shooting and play mini scrimmages. The children will meet on Saturdays beginning December 3, 2011 at the Joel School gym. The fee is $35, which includes a T-shirt. A $10 late fee will be added if registration & payment is received after November 4, 2011.

FIRST GRADE YOUTH BASKETBALL:
For boys and girls in 1st grade. Children will learn the fundamentals of basketball. They will meet on Saturday afternoon beginning in January 2012 at Joel School gym. The fee is $25, which includes a T-shirt. Payments due by December 9, 2011.

ADULT CO-ED VOLLEYBALL: (Adults Only)
Open gym! Have some fun and join us for a friendly game of volleyball! The games will be played on Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30 pm at the following locations. November: Eliot Gym

MEN’S BASKETBALL: (Adults only)
Its open gym! Stop in for a quick pick-up game of basketball. The games will be played from 7:30-9:30 pm. The following schedule shows all the details:

ART CLASSES With Joan Levy: Observational Charcoal Drawing and Water Color Painting
Classes will be held at Art at Murray Pond, 59 Route 148, Killingworth, CT. Dates: Tuesdays: November 8, 2010 – December 6, 2011. Grades 3 – 7, Time: 4:30 – 5:30 pm. Fee is $85, ($90 for Non-Residents). Call Joan Levy for a list of materials. There is a 10% discount for Joan’s students at the Saybrook Art emporium (860-663-1169). ONE DAY – CT SAFE BOATING & PERSONAL WATERCRAFT COURSE:
This single session, 8-hour course, taught by Professional Marine Education, provides a certificate of completion as partial fulfillment of the requirements to obtain the Certification of Personal Watercraft Operation, which allows the operation of motorized recreational vessels up to 65’ and sailboats 19½’ in length and longer. Upon successful completion of this course the student can mail or deliver the diploma to any State DEP office, and combined with an application for certificate (provided) and appropriate fee, qualifies the student to obtain the certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation. The certificate is a one-time, lifetime certification. Students should bring a pen or pencil to class. You are also given ¾ of an hour for lunch (please bring a light lunch with you). Dates: March 31, 2012 or May 12, 2012, Time: 8:30 am to 4:30 p.m. Location: P & R Building, 201 Killingworth Tpke, Clinton, CT. Fee: $60 ($70 Non-residents).
