DRAWING CLASSES:

Classes are held at the P & R Building. Dates:

Time: 4:30 – 5:30 pm. Fee is

of materials. 10% discounts are available for Joan’s
students at the Koenig Art Emporium.
SOFTBALL CLINIC:
March 15-20, 2010
(excluding Mar. 18th)
Grades 8-12, from 3 – 4:30 p.m., Grades 4-7, from 4:30 –
6 p.m. Mar. 20th: Grades: 8-12: 11:30 a.m. –
1: p.m. & Grades 4 – 7: 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Will be held at the Jared Eliot Gym. Fee: $45.00 Please
bring a Glove, water & sneakers (No black sole sneakers,
if they make marks on the floor).
NUTRITION, WEIGHT & WELLNESS WORKSHOP SERIES:
Thursdays Evenings: April 1 – 29, 2010 (excluding
4/15/10), Time: 4/1: 7-8:30 p.m. All other classes: 7 –
8 p.m.
Engage
yourself in four 1-hour* weekly nutrition and wellness
workshops. Gain personal insight into your health status
from 3 different measurements, estimate calorie needs
and expenditure for weight reduction/gain, and learn
about the good, bad and ugly dietary fats. Become a more
informed consumer through breaking down the entire food
label and popular nutrition claims. *Please wear
loose clothing for measurements. 1st class is
1 ˝ hours. Fee: $86.00 ($91.00
Non-residents) Class Size - Min.: 10 Max.: 20 Classes
will be held at the Clinton P & R Building, 201
Killingworth Turnpike.
ZUMBA LESSONS:
Zumba is exercise in disguise! It is a Latin inspired
dance fitness class that uses international music and
dance rhythms together for the ultimate exercise
experience. You do not have to know how to dance
to take a Zumba class. We create a non-competitive
party atmosphere where a student can interpret the dance
rhythms in their own way. It’s fun! It’s
different! It’s easy! It’s effective!
Classes will be held at the P & R Building beginning in
Monday Evenings: March 8 – May 3, 2010 (Excluding
April 12th) Fee: $65 (Non-residents $70.00)
or Friday Mornings: March 12 – May 14, 2010 (Excluding
April 2 & 16) Fee: $65 ($70 Non-Residents) .
Each student must bring water. Instructor is
Kate Galiano. Minimum of 10 students required.
MARTIAL ARTS:
Martial Art Classes are available through Madison
Academy located at 32 Wall Street, Madison, CT. Classes
will meet twice a week for eight weeks. Various days and
times are available. Classes available are
Taekwondo (ages 6 to adult), Young Dragons (ages 3 to 5)
and Cardio-Kickboxing (ages 10 to adult). The fee
is $50 per session. Uniforms are required for all
Taekwondo classes and can be purchased at Madison
Academy. Personal Training is also available for
$45 per hour for three, one-hour sessions. Martial Arts
Classes are held throughout the school year. Session
IV: March 1 – April 23, 2010,
Session V: April 26 –
June 18, 2010.
COMPUTER EXPLORERS (Video Game Animation):
Dive into the world of video game animation by
creating characters that dance, sing and interact with
one another. Add sound effects and music slips to
create a dynamic video animation game using Scratch, the
innovative programming language created just for kids by
the MIT Media Lab. Classes will be held at the P &
R Building. Ages:
7 – 12 yrs., Thursdays, March 4, 18, 25 & April 8, 2010,
Time: 4 – 5:30 p.m. Fee:
$90 ($95 Non-residents) Max. 12 Children, first come,
first served.
TENNIS
CAMP (APRIL VACATION WEEK):
April 12
– 15, 2010
This camp will introduce players to the forehand,
backhand, serve and volley. For older juniors,
point playing strategies and match play situations will
be introduced. Rain make-up date will be held on
Fri., April 16th.
Ages: 6-16 years. Times: 9-11 a.m. or
11 a.m.
to 1 p.m., Fee:
$120 ($125 Non-residents) Min. of 3 Juniors required and
Max. of 12.
COMPUTER EXPLORERS (Comic Book Workshop):
Want to be a comic book Star! Leap tall buildings
in a single bound! Write, illustrate and star in
an out-of-this-world production! You and your
friends will be the leads in your own comic strip or
comic book in this class focusing on digital art and
computer adventures. Classes will be held at the P
& R Building
Ages: 7- 12 yrs., Fridays,
May 21, 28, June 4, & 11, 2010, Time: 4 – 5:30
p.m.
Fee: $90 ($95 Non-residents) Max. 12
children, first come, first served.
PEE WEE TENNIS:
Saturdays: May 8 – June 5, 2010, Ages 3-5 years
This class will introduce Pee Wees to the forehand,
backhand and volley in fun game situations. Class will
be held at the Peters Complex. Minimum of 4 Pee Wees,
maximum of 30. Time:
9:15-10 a.m. or 10:15-11 a.m., Fee: $79 ($84

CHILDREN’S TENNIS CLINIC:
Saturdays: May 8 – June 5,
2010 This tennis clinic instructs players
on all tennis strokes as well as footwork and etiquette.Ages 6-8 yrs: Time: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Ages 9-12 yrs:
Time: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Min. of 4 children per age group, max. of 15 per age
group. Fee: $89 ($94 Non-residents) Make-up rain date:
June 12th
TENNIS TEAM:

tennis clinic will instruct players on all strokes, as

ADULT CO-ED VOLLEYBALL:
(Adults Only) Its open gym! Have some fun and join us
for a friendly game of volleyball! The games will be
played on Monday evenings
from 7:30-9:30 pm
at the following locations. March and April at the
Morgan Gym and February and May at the Eliot Gym.
MEN’S BASKETBALL: (Adults only)
Its open gym! Stop in for a quick pick-up game
of basketball. The games will be played from
7:30-9:30 pm.

DEP SAFE BOATING CLASSES:
(Adults and children over 10) This is a 10 hour course
that meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from
7:00-9:30 pm for two
weeks. The last class will give a final exam. A
passing grade will enable you to apply for your Safe
Boating certificate. The classes will be held at the
Morgan School (room TBA), located at 27 Killingworth
Turnpike (route 81), Clinton, CT 06413. The minimum
class size is 20 and the maximum size is 30. There will
be two sessions available:
Session I: March 2, 4, 9, 11, 2010, Session II: April
20, 22, 27, 29, 2010 & Session III: May 18, 20, 25, 27,
2010. The fee is $10 per person.
YOUTH WRESTLING PROGRAM:
Children grades 4 – 8. Monday & Wednesdays: Feb. 1 –
April 7, 2010. Time: 6:30 – 8 pm.
Beginning March 4th:
Mondays & Thursdays, ending
on April 8th. This program will
take place at the Morgan School. Fee: $55 which will
include a T-shirt and a USA Wrestling card.

GIRL’S SOFTBALL PROGRAM: For girls in
Grades 1-3. Program is held on
Mondays and Wednesdays after school from 3 –
5 pm at the Peters Complex. Practice will begin in
April, Games will
begin in May and the program ends in June. Fee is
$35.00. Registration forms will be sent home after the
February vacation.
FALL SOCCER REGISTRATIONS: May 8, 2010, Time: 10 am to 12
noon. Location: P & R
Building, 201 Killingworth Turnpike, Clinton, CT.
